To ensure a level playing field, we're kicking off a new Ranked Season today that will be a clean start for all players. Any progress made in Ranked Season 5 will be reset, but don't worry-any Ranked rewards you earned along the way will be retained. We're also taking measures to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to earn Ranked Season 5 Cowboy Hats and the season-end Ranked Cabbage Patch taunt. As you advance through ranks in Season 6, you'll earn our new Ranked Sniper Masks like normal, but at the end of the season, you'll also receive each Ranked Season 5 Cowboy Hat corresponding to your final rank. Those that reach Gold III or higher will receive the Season 5 Ranked Cabbage Patch taunt AND the Season 6 Ranked Walk It taunt. Lastly, at the end of Ranked Season 6, players will be awarded additional Relics. No rule changes this season but we are considering changing the ranked game mode starting next season. BALANCE AND FIXES Added death region to Village to prevent exploit Increase LP cost of Drake's Aegis to 3 LP Patch 1.22 Multiplayer New Map: Treasury General Ranked Season 5 Starts April 3rd Players are now required to play 3 hours before posting stats to the leaderboards Top 500 players on Leaderboards have been temporarily removed to clear out low-playtime players. If you were in this group, playing one match will re-post your stats for that game mode Bug fixes: Fixed an issue with shell ejection for the Type 95 Fixed an issue with the INSAS gun strap Fixed issues with silencers showing up on pistols during some taunts Fixed missing audio filter on Sci-Fi Helmet Balance: Updated 180-degree roll jump speed to match that of the 180-degree turn jump Patch 1.21 Multiplayer: New Mode: King of the Hill After making its debut in the Beta Test Playlist, King of the Hill is now a full-featured game mode, complete with leaderboards, Cinema Replay support, and Challenges. We love this fast-paced, team-based mode and how it enables players to make great use of all of Multiplayer's core mechanics. Two teams must work together to fight for control of rotating capture points in order to be the first to reach the score limit. If you played during the Beta Test, we've made some changes for King of the Hill's full release. After reaching the 200 Victory Points score limit, teams must capture a final hill, which we call the Victory Hill. This adds an extra level of strategy and one final chance for a comeback from the losing team. Alongside this new feature, we've also made the following changes: Victory Points per hill increased from 60 to 80 KO'ing defenders will award the attacking team 4 Victory Points If a defender is KO'd within the first five seconds after capturing a hill, they will respawn When a team reaches the max Victory Points, they must capture one more hill (known as Victory Hill) to win the match UI revamped to better communicate game rules and readability Duration for Wrath of El Dorado reduced by 50% in this mode; Wrath is still quite powerful but this allows other Mysticals to play a prominent role too General: Added a new feature: Personal Stats Page VIP Relic Bonus has increased from 20% to 40% Added 3 Weapons Added 3 Survival Boosters Added 37 Vanity Items Added 6 Taunts Added 25 character skin color palettes for each new skin Personal Stats Page: players can view their personal stats across multiple game modes Classic Mode removed from the Beta Playlist. For those who missed it when it first launched in November, Classic is a back-to-basics mode that focuses on core combat and movement- there's no in-game store, Mysticals, or Sidekicks. Find it in the Multiplayer playlist menu today. New Ranked Season For the competitive crowd, the next Ranked season has begun, introducing new rewards and improvements to progression. This season, you'll have a chance to earn a new set of Ranked weapon skins to complement the Ranked Trucker Hats, Shades, and Bandanas offered in prior seasons. What's more, this season, we're awarding a special Ranked Huzzah taunt for those that reach Gold rank or higher. Alongside new rewards, we are also improving the Qualifier and Master Rank systems - Qualifiers will focus on points earned, rather than matches won and Master Rank will now have points earned based off an average of matches ( Master Rank will give a match rating averaging your 20 previous Ranked matches). This way, your progress is based entirely on your own performance. New Qualifier System Qualifiers are now based on points earned rather than matches won. This allows your personal performance to impact your advancement to a much larger degree. To pass from Gold I to Platinum III, for example, you need to earn at least 35 points over the course of 5 matches. Points earned are still based on your grade for that match, with an S grade on a win awarding the maximum of 40 points. Overachieving on points required will gives you bonus points upon advancing to the next rank (to a maximum of 50 points). Failing a qualifier series with negative points will penalize you by that many points. Master Rank System Update We have revamped the way points are handled in Master Rank. Instead of being a grind for points, the system focuses on your average performance. Players will enter into Master Rank with a 200 match rating average. At the end of a match, you will receive a Match Rating and this will be factored into your "20 game average". This average represents your Master Rank points. The maximum possible Match Rating is 1000, and the lowest is -1000. Get better scores, higher kills, revives and assists, while minimizing deaths to maximize your Match Rating. General: Bug fix for awarded chests not opening for the player Bug fix for players that are unable to connect to multiplayer or are taking a long time to connect to multiplayer Fix for profile data loss Accounts that were affected by the profile loss will have their level restored Fixed several crashes Bug fix for multiplayer audio settings resetting when backing out to the main menu Adjusted weapon skins to fix bright weapon skin issues in certain levels Survival Hardcore Mode Introduced Take on a new challenge in Survival's Hardcore Mode, available now. This intense new difficulty tier introduces higher stakes, giving players only one chance to make it through all 50 waves. That's right, if your team is defeated, you're back to square one. Hardcore Mode is not for the faint of heart-it'll take skill, close teamwork, and careful strategy.
